Adventurous Women Out Late (AWOL)
Everyone is invited! Each month we meet for casual fellowship with no agenda. Movies, ice cream, dinners, theater events, and anything else you would like to suggest—we’re in!
A labyrinth is a patterned path, most often circular in form, used as a walking meditation or spiritual practice. A labyrinth’s walkway is arranged in such a way that the participant moves back and forth across the circular form through a series of curves, ending at the labyrinths’ heart or center. Join us as we walk the outdoor labyrinth at Mercy Center on Bopp Road.
Not Just for Men (NJFM)
NJFM evolved from our Men’s Fellowship. It was such a special group that we opened it to anyone who would want to join us! About once a month, we carpool to a preselected St. Louis attraction, tour it for about an hour, and then enjoy lunch together before returning to church.
Recognizing the link between Christian faith and environmental stewardship, the Parkway Sustainability Seekers’ purpose is to explore and promote sustainability in our church facilities, our homes, and the wider community. Our Sustainability Seekers inspire and educate us by holding monthly meetings, sponsoring movie and speaker events, and providing practical environmental tips. To celebrate Earth Day, they held a vegetarian luncheon that included meatless chili made by several of our church members. With fundraisers selling fair trade products, the Sustainability Seekers have reduced our carbon footprint by purchasing reusable coffee mugs, trash receptacles, and an eco-friendly dishwasher.
On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, our Sweet Bakers gather in the kitchen at 10:00am and bake cakes to deliver to Pilgrim UCC for their community luncheon. The bakers take turns bringing cake mixes, eggs, and icing, and as they prepare the cakes, they enjoy fellowship with each other. If you love baking, community outreach, and gathering with new friends, you'll love the Sweet Bakers!
