Ben Greene to speak at Parkway UCC during Pride Month
The LGBTQ+ Faith Alliance, Parkway UCC and PFLAG of Greater St. Louis welcomes Ben Greene for a program at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 22, at PUCC. His presentation, “Keep Dancing: Joy in the Fight for Queer Rights,” is a journey through LGBTQ+ history and a look at the change makers of today to remind us that no matter how dark things may feel, this fight is not over. We know how to survive this: together.
Please bring an item or two for the food pantry at Metro Trans Umbrella Group. Donations of meats, beans, vegetables, peanut butter and shelf-stable milk are appreciated. An ice cream reception follows the program, and local LGBTQ+ organizations will have resources and opportunities during a resource fair. This is a free, all-ages event. We are not able to provide childcare for the evening.
Ben is a transgender advocate and educator who has spoken internationally on topics surrounding
transgender inclusion. After coming out at 15 in a small town, Ben has devoted his career to spreading empathy,

PFLAG chapters, Ben leads with joy. He is the author of the Substack “Good Queer News”, as well as the book “My
Child is Trans, Now What? A Joy Centered Approach to Support”. He has been nominated for a GLAAD media
award, and is a fierce advocate for transgender youth and their families, regularly speaking in their defense in
Jefferson City when he lived in Missouri from 2020-2025. He is passionate about leading with joy and
educating others from a place of compassion—no matter where they’re starting from.
