Please join us on Zoom July 1 and July 15 for discussion of the book That Librarian: The Fight Against Book Banning in America. At each meeting we’ll gather at 1:45 on Zoom to check in with each other and get to know each other better, and then discuss the book in thirds, one third of the book at each meeting.

Small town librarian Amanda Jones cherishes how books affirm young people’s identities. So in 2022, when a local hearing about “book content” arose amid nationwide calls to ban LGBTQ+ and minority stories, she spoke out to protect her community’s shelves. Days later, her nightmare began—and it’s still unfolding.

Mapping the book banning crisis occurring all across the nation, That Librarian draws the battle lines in the war against equity and inclusion, calling book lovers everywhere to rise in defense of our readers. (From Amazon)
