Speak Out: A Banner Party 2/1 1:30PM

Sunday Feb 1st 1:30-4PM

This is a drop-in event; come with ideas, materials (if possible*), and as many hands as possible; we will spread out on the tables and create signs and banners to be used at public gatherings. •Children and friends are welcome. •Participants take their signs and banners with them for future events. •One or two fabric banners will be left at PUCC for use by anyone who wants to borrow them. Seeking donations (or loan) of materials: ideas for slogans/messages, cardboard (corrugated and/or poster), markers, large-letter stencils, rulers, pencils, acrylic paint, inexpensive brushes, newspapers (to protect tables), sharp scissors, box cutters, masking/painter tape (for almost-instant lettering!), duct tape, packing tape, sturdy cardboard rolls or wooden pickets, one staple gun and staples… No fabric donations needed- I have plenty!* However, SEEKING iron-on adhesive cloth (NOT interfacing; must adhere on both sides), and loan of fabric scissors and 1-2 irons/ ironing boards. * If you want to put a (muted color) tattered family quilt or bedspread to a new use, though, it would make an awesome banner… or two, if cut in half. DONATIONS RECEIVED between Jan 25 and the February 1.

Please contact Karla with questions or to donate. Family-friendly; adults should accompany kids
