Spiritual Walk – The Labyrinth
Event Date: 11/27/2024
Labyrinth walking is an ancient practice used by many different faiths for spiritual centering, contemplation, and prayer. Entering the serpentine path of a labyrinth, you walk slowly while quieting your mind and focusing on a spiritual question or prayer.
Come for a meaningful walk. Embrace the Spirit that embraces you!
A labyrinth is not a maze. It has only one path to the center and back out, which is called unicursal (one line). It has no blind alleys or dead ends as mazes have. The path twists and turns back on itself many times before reaching the center. Once at the center, you can stand for a few moments or sit on a stump to ponder and pray. There is only one way back out.
Some people go in with a scripture, hymn verse, ideal, question, person, problem, gratitude in their mind, body and spirit. Some people begin the walk empty, open, available to whatever comes to them. You decided … and make room for the Holy.
