Presented by Simona Charles, MSW, BBM

Simona Charles is a member of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Reservation, where she grew up. The reservation was created by President Rutherford Hayes late in the 19th Century and occupies parts of the states of Idaho and Nevada.

Ms. Charles now lives and works in the St. Louis area after obtaining a Masters in Social Work from the prestigious Brown School of Social Work at Washington University. Her presentation will focus on her experiences growing up on the reservation and her views of modern day life as a Native American living and working in the St. Louis Area community and culture.
