It’s about a failed novelist about to turn fifty who receives a wedding invitation in the mail from his former boyfriend. How does he avoid attending? He looks at the series of invitations to half-baked literary events around the world and decides to attend ALL of them. It’s described as a scintillating satire of the American abroad, complete with mishaps and misunderstandings, a bittersweet romance of chances lost and ultimately a love story about the human heart.
