The Tuesday Evening Dialogue (TED) welcomes YOU to join us for our informal potluck supper and book club. The next book TED we will read and discuss is in the anticipation of the author John Pavlovitz’s visit to Parkway UCC in June: A Bigger Table: Building Messy, Authentic, and Hopeful Spiritual Community. John, after an attempt at being an artist decided to attend seminary and ended up first in a large church where, as the assistant minister, he didn’t have to share his “real” theology.  After getting a church where he was the head minister he began to question his authenticity. Was he trying to be the “perfect” minister or could he share his foibles as well as his doubts and still be a spiritual leader? Could he lead a life sharing his table as Jesus had done with all kinds of diverse peoples. Come read the book with us and see how he met this challenge. We will begin reading Part I. Books available for purchase in the church office.
