Joint Neighborhood Ministry

Joint Neighborhood Ministry is a small nonprofit agency striving to meet the needs of the community. The service area includes parts of 63118 and 63104 zip codes. JNM is "More Than A Soup Can." It attempts to not only feed the hungry, but also supply clothing, provide financial assistance, meet health needs and offer significant support services to those who struggle for self-sufficiency.

The low-income individuals JNM serves often are unemployed or underemployed, single with children, grandparents raising grandchildren, have no health insurance or are underinsured, and maybe living in substandard housing or are homeless. [Scroll down to view older posts.]

SchoolSupplyDriveHelp Kids Prepare for Learning: School Supply Drive

July 13-August 3 | PUCC Gathering Space

Joint Neighborhood Ministry has asked for our help in collecting school supplies to make sure all children have a positive start to the school year. Specifically, the children need:

backpacks/book bags | calculators | loose-leaf paper

spiral-bound notebooks | folders | three-ring binders | crayons/markers #2 pencils | colored pencils | black, blue and red pens | highlighters scissors | rulers | glue/glue sticks | pencil cases | protractors | compasses

gift cards for Payless Shoes, Shoe Carnival, etc.

socks: all sizes from kindergarten to high school (adult)

underwear: (boys prefer boxers rather than briefs)

Please place any donations in the gathering space bins marked for the School Supply Drive before August 3. We understand that many organizations are requesting your support; please give as you are able, faithful to your own heart. PUCC youth will volunteer to organize and distribute these items at Joint Neighborhood Ministry’s School Fair on August 8-9. Thank you! Sun. Nov. 20 | 2:00pm | Epiphany UCC

It’s our 5th Annual Hugs & Kisses at the Food Pantry. Come with us to Joint Neighborhood Ministry (JNM) on Sunday, November 20 from 2-3pm. JNM is located at Epiphany UCC -  2911 McNair, 1/2 mile west of Anheuser Busch. We’ll learn about what goes on in a food pantry. Bring several canned goods to donate.  Children will “kiss the cans” (cross out their upc barcode) and hug them as they place their gifts on the shelves.  [Carpool from church at 1:30pm or just meet us there.]
