The Board of Religious Organizations is grateful for all toys that we have donated during the past year. After serving about 5000 children with toys at Christmas, their supply has been depleted and they want to restock for next Christmas.

During the month of January we will be gathering used and new toys for Santa’s helpers to begin refurbishing. Look for a box in the Gathering Space and thanks so much.

Now that your kids are enjoying their new toys, there’s a place to recycle those older toys. The Board of Religious Organizations (BRO) is waiting now for gently used toys to begin preparing and repairing toys for Christmas 2013 for distribution to various St. Louis agencies. Also watch for after Christmas bargains for toys and games to donate to this worthy cause. Gently used stuffed animals are welcomed. BRO has a special cleaning process to get those cuddly creatures ready for new little owners next Christmas. Especially needed are African-American dolls and books for any age with an African-American theme. Watch for the collection box in the gathering space in January.

Donate your new and gently used toys for the BRO (Board of Religious Organizations) Toy Collection during the month of January. This non-profit service organization provides holiday gifts for needy children through various St. Louis agencies. The majority of recipients are referred by our UCC Neighborhood Houses.

Take advantage of post Christmas sales or recycle your gently used toys. Look for the collection box in the Gathering Space. These toys will be renewed and given to needy families in Christmas 2012.
