PUCC Mission Trip to Rebuild Homes and Lives October 5—9

PUCC Mission 2015Katrina 10: Resilient New Orleans—PUCC Mission Trip to Rebuild Homes and Lives

October 5—9 (Mon—Fri)

Where can you stay for 6 nights, 5 days, room and board, for $29.00 / day? In a recently renovated house? Three meals a day. That’s only $174!

On the fall 2015 New Orleans Mission Trip, that’s where. A group of folks will be heading to New Orleans to work with the St. Bernard Project (www.stbernardproject.org) and we hope you will join us! All skill levels are welcome and needed, still cleaning up after Katrina. Come learn or teach, or probably both. Come be God’s hands in this world. Work Day 9/19

hammer_640Charity Begins at Home…Parkway UCC Work Day

Saturday, September 19, 2015| 9:30am to 1:00pm (11:30am lunch)

You are invited to a fall work-cleaning-organizing day at Parkway UCC. Bring work gloves and be prepared to clean, organize, and even discard. Have you ever wondered how visitors view our beautiful building? If we take a minute to look closely, we can see areas that need tidying or cleaning out.

If commissions could send volunteers for that day to focus on areas they use that would be fantastic. The kitchen needs a good cleaning and the closet near by needs organizing. Heritage Room bookshelf could be tidied as well as that kitchen area scrubbed.

Lunch will be served around 11:30am and rumor has it that donuts might be available with coffee as you arrive.

Contact Ben McDougall or Carol Cobb with questions or suggestions.

Jesus Has Left the Building March 29

Sunday, Mar 29 | following 8:30am worship | the community

Jesus Has Left the Building3-20-25 Update:

As a part of JHLTB3, we are asking you to do some Spring Cleaning and bring donations of books, shoes, clothes, household items, sports equipment this Sunday, anytime during the week or next Sunday. Please place items in the corner of the Gathering Space by the light switches and History Tower. Thank you!

This experience is back by popular demand! Jesus has left the building in order to feed people; bless children; discover the stranger; provide healing; support and encourage those who were struggling; honor ancestors; appreciate and enjoy nature; and much more.

Join us for a brief worship service where we will sing, pray, hear scripture, share communion and be commissioned to be Christ-like…sent to put our faith into action right away!
